Church History Survey

Course Description

1        Overview of Church History from the Founding of the Church to the Formation of the Baptists is a course that surveys key developments of the Church from its beginnings through the Middle Ages to the Reformation in Europe and concludes with an examination of history leading up to the development of English Baptists. The course is designed to weave academic scholarship, personal devotion to Christ, and emphasis on scriptural truth into an investigation of the history of the church that led to the Protestant Reformation and the subsequent development of various denominations, with special emphasis on history and doctrine that formed the Baptist Heritage.

2        The instruction will be enhanced with PowerPoint presentations, this notebook, and other possible handouts.
